how is a reiki attunement different than a reiki session?
in a session, you’re only receiving the reiki temporarily with whatever intentions the practitioner uses. for an attunement, your energetic bodies or aura is opened up and activated as a channel to distribute reiki. attunements don’t go away but effects of a session can diminish over time as the reiki is expended.
how long does an attunement process and can i receive all three at once?
an attunement processes for up to 21 days for each level. i recommend doing separate attunements, but if you specifically request to receive all of them, you will experience one ceremony and an extended processing period of up to or more than 9 consistent weeks. please only choose that option if you’re fully prepared for the changes it can make in your life.
is reiki a religious practice?
reiki can be practiced religiously, but it was specifically channeled as an alternative healing form that did not involve religion. changes have been made to its practice and teachings to accommodate the christian majority it faced throughout the last 100 years of its practice.
can you practice reiki without an attunement?
some people believe you can, i don’t. it’s not the same reiki as the usui tradition if it is reiki at all. energy work, however, can be practiced and is similar to reiki which is why there’s such ease with learning reiki as it naturally develops. some argue that it’s the same thing, but only doing energy work does not involve the spiritual lineage that is provided with reiki.
why are there different reiki levels?
working with energy involves great willpower, concentration, and discernment. level i is beginner reiki, level ii is intermediate reiki, and level iii is advanced reiki. it’s easier to learn, teach, and distinguish with this system than holding reiki under an umbrella.
why are there different types of reiki attunements?
people develop their own systems of energy work throughout their practice. that’s how dr. usui channeled reiki. other reiki practitioners, whether through their own spiritual journeys or initiations, are called to expand on the teachings already existing with reiki. they are all valid, but the most important thing is to call reiki what it is and to not label things as reiki when they aren’t. it’s totally possible to use additional techniques or modalities alongside reiki, but you must be transparent with what you use and what it’s called. i believe reiki will keep developing but maintain its core principles and beliefs as it has for the last century, otherwise it isn’t reiki.
how do you access the akashic records with reiki?
in level ii, you’ll learn! access varies from person to person and there are sure signs you’re in the records as long as you’re still and open to believing.
can i start practicing reiki right after my attunement?
yes, and it’s suggested you do! at least on yourself to start. it’s not atypical to fall asleep as you get used to channeling and directing the flow of reiki, just listen to your body so you can follow it for what you need. when you are ready to practice on others, you’ll know. please don’t practice on other living humans or animals until you’re sure you’re ready.
why should i pay if you’re offering it the way you are?
when attunements are paid for, i’m able to complete more of them. it also shows that you understand energetic exchanges and how money amplifies intentions with how it’s used and for what. this means that you understand you’re investing in yourself. to compare, a weekend consisting of 10 hours of learning time to complete reiki levels i, ii, and iii at minimum pricing for basic information is $365. some reiki courses are thousands of dollars, for essentially the same information but in more dangerous conditions. here, you’re able to practice safely, with a reiki master who is also an a trusted akashic records practitioner. energy work within the akashic records is my specialty and i teach others how to use their light body, which is a more intense healing modality than reiki. help keep reiki sacred and safe by supporting the teachers who encourage and provide learning within their communities.
why are you offering it this way to begin with then?
because i want to share information that others find helpful and useful without adding to their stress of whether they can afford it or not. too often healing is passed over because necessities are barely able to be met. as an autistic trans man who only does this work because it’s the only thing that can be done, i can’t help with financial resources. but i can help with the spiritual ones. i believe reiki is so user friendly and easy to work with that everyone who wants access to it should have it.
what ages can be attuned?
as long as it is their decision, a child as young as 9 can receive a reiki attunement. please contact me before booking for this as there are a different set of requirements for children attunements. i am working on a child-friendly reiki pdf to make it easy & simple to understand with exercises they can practice with an adult while they build up their confidence.
